A 10 week course focused on the Application of Psychoanalytic thinking in Work Experiences.

The Melbourne Institute for Psychoanalysis is please to offer this course in 2018.
The central objective of the course is to help participants wishing to develop and explore psychoanalytic thinking to understand work experiences.  This will be achieved through reading psychoanalytic material, presentation of clinical work and interactive group discussions.

 Interviews will be conducted following application to the course.

Course Dates  :   April 17 & 24, May 1, 8, 15, 22 and June 5, 12 19 & 26

A discussion group

MIP are offering a 4 week discussion group : a space for mothers to think about the experience of new motherhood, their experience, the baby's experience and the couple's experience.

To be held at the Melbourne Institute for Psychoanalysis

An Introductory to Psychoanalytical Thinking.

(1 year course)

A central objective of the course is an introduction to key concepts in psychoanalytic thinking and practice.   A relatively unstructured informal discussion in a small group facilitates this between participants and seminar leaders.

'Engaging with South East Asia : Anxious Nation, Fundamentalist States of Mind'

This very successful series of interdisciplinary seminars was held at the Asia Institute in conjunction with the Melbourne Institute for Psychoanalysis, drawing together political scientists, historians and psychoanalysts.

Some papers from the Seminar series are to be published on the APAS online Journal 'Psychoanalysis DownUnder'
It is also anticipated some will be available as a Podcast.  Further details regarding this will be posted when available.
